Does Ellen appreciate your work on the website?
Yes, she is grateful for everything I do and made the following statement in an interview with the newspaper San Francisco Chronicle on December 13, 2007 to underline this:
Q: "Hard Candy" is about a sexual predator who uses the Internet, now there are real Web sites devoted to you. Have you looked at any of these sites?
A: There's one made by this lovely guy, who I've even been in touch with, he's German. ... And it's really nice that someone devotes that time. And it's great because he'll communicate with me now and then to double-check things. ... That whole aspect of it is so surreal, because I'm just me, getting to do what I love to do.

Did Ellen visit the website and make these guestbook entries?

Ellen wrote on October 2, 2006 at 9:29 PM and 9:36 PM:
Hello there,
just wanted to say thank you for creating such a wonderful site. I am extremely grateful for your support. I also wanted to let you know that I recieved your letter. I have sent a reply in the mail, hopefully it will get to you soon. Again, thank you for the kind words and for making this website.
Lots of love xoelle

One more thing...
You asked me in the letter if I had a MySpace page and I wanted to let everyone know that I DO NOT. Those pages are not me.
Yeah, just wanted to let you know.
Thanks Again :o) ellen

Many want to know if these entries are real. Yes, they are. On the one hand, the guestbook logs every ip-address, so I can check that the entries were made with an internet access of a provider in Halifax/Canada. On the other side only the real Ellen could know something about the MySpace thing, I asked her in my letter. She was personally on the site and made the guestbook entries for sure.

I would like to send something to Ellen. How can I contact her?
Please address your autograph request to the Endeavor Talent Agency in Los Angeles and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope so they can easily respond to you. Also consider Ellen Page is really busy with work and other stuff, so a request sometimes will take months to be fulfilled.

Does Ellen have a Facebook page or a MySpace / Twitter profile?
No, she doesn't have a MySpace or Twitter profile. As you can see from her above guestbook entries, Ellen confirmed this information, as well as in a personal letter to me. Any accounts on these sites are therefore fake and have no association with Ellen herself. But you can visit her official Facebook profile at www.facebook.com/EllenPage (Ellen confirmed the authenticity of this account during an interview with Collider.com at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2009).
Update: Unfortunately, her Facebook page was deleted without any apparent reason in February 2010.

Between July and December 2009 she shot Christopher Nolan’s Sci-Fi thriller “Inception”, which is scheduled for summer, 2010. After that Ellen took a leading role in James Gunn’s superhero comedy “Super” along Liv Tyler, Kevin Bacon and “Juno” costar Rainn Wilson in December 2009/January 2010. Now she is going to develop and write a comedy series called “Stitch N’ Bitch” together with “Whip It” costar Alia Shawkat and Har Mar Superstar for the US television network HBO and will participate in the play "The Good Canary" written by Zach Helm later this year.

Can you tell me why I don’t see the photos and pictures on the website?
All images on the website are protected against hotlinking. A hotlink is a link on a site which directly loads images from another websites. If you want to view the images, your web browser has to send the so-called referer with the http-request. Some security and anonymizer programs such as "Norton Internet Security" deactivate this function. If you don’t see the images, disable the relevant setting in your browser or close the program temporarily.

How can I download files or video clips?
All files and video clips on EPO are hosted by separate servers. You can either download these files directly by left clicking on the link or every video clip is also available via flash stream on the German video platform, Sevenload-- so you can watch each clip online as well.

What software do I need to watch the video clips from Ellen Page Online?
Most of the video clips are in AVI, Quicktime, or FLV format. To play Quicktime clips (.mov), you need the Apple Quicktime Player or QT Alternative Player. For Flash streaming format (.flv), you can find a player here. AVI clips can be played with nearly every video player (Windows Media Player, Video Lan Client, etc.), as long as you have the right codec. On this website, most of the video clips are encoded with the free XVid Codec, which you can download here.

How did you end up with the url address, ellen-page.net?
Well, the best .de and .com domains, like ellenpage.de or ellenpage.com, were already registered. So I thought ellen-page.net was the next best choice at the time. Now, the site's title has changed to “Ellen Page Online” and the website is available via domains like ellen-page.net, ellen-page.org, ellen-page.info, ellenpage.org, ellenpageonline.com, ellenpage.info, ellenpageonline.net, ellenpageonline.de, ellen-page-online.com, ellen-page-online.net and ellen-page-online.de.

How can I support the website?
This website is run completely out of my own goodwill and pocket. In fact, it costs around 60 dollars to maintain site each month. I receive no money from advertisements because I don't support them. (Note: the pop-up ad you might see here is placed by Motigo Webstats). So if you would like to help me in my monthly payments to keep this website running, you can donate any amount by clicking on the PayPal link below. Every bit helps and I would be eternally grateful for any support you can give. Please know that your donations will only be used for this site or to buy new magazines, papers and other resources for scans and so on and so forth. Thank you for any donation and contribution in advance!
